Boulder Junction Station Project
RTD and the City of Boulder worked together with other stakeholders for over 10 years to create the Transit Village Area Plan, first issued in 2007. The Plan envisioned a lively, mixed-use, pedestrian-oriented place where people will live, work, shop and access regional transit. With the launch of RTD’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in January 2016, the site became the primary regional bus terminal of East Boulder. The area surrounding 30th Street and Pearl will continue to be built out with mixed-use and high-density residential developments supporting both market-rate and affordable housing.
The new transit center is a 45,655-square-foot underground bus facility that has six bus bays and ticket sales and information booths. The underground bus facility is located beneath the apartments and parking garage with pedestrian access, called the Paseo, from Pearl Parkway. Boulder Junction is the final destination for Regional and Express RTD Services running from the six Park-n-Ride locations along US 36 and offers convenient connection to riders with local routes in Boulder.

2007 - 2015
Boulder Junction at Depot Square Station is an innovative transit-oriented development that supports a mixed-use, pedestrian friendly neighborhood with access to regional transit connections. The TOD development is located in the larger Boulder Junction area at the northeast corner of 30th Street and Pearl Parkway.
The development is part of the 160-acre Transit Village redevelopment area and includes the RTD transit center, a Hyatt Hotel with 150 rooms, the Depot Square apartment complex with 71 affordable housing units, and a parking garage with 386 spaces (75 of which are reserved for RTD patrons).
