Small Business Enterprise
Qualify
To become SBE certified, your business must meet the following qualifications:
- Gross receipts (averaged over three years) of less than $30.40 million.
- The net worth of majority owner (51 percent) cannot exceed $1,320,000.
The SBE Certification Program is open to all businesses regardless of race or gender of the owners of the business.
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise
Qualify
To become DBE certified, your business must meet the following qualifications:
- Must be at least 51 percent owned by a socially and economically disadvantaged individual(s) who also controls the firm.
- The disadvantaged owner must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident of the United States.
- Must be a small business that meets the Small Business Administration's size standard and does not exceed $30.40 million in gross annual receipts.
- Must be organized as a for-profit business.
